I had some issues with my heating system (gas boiler hydronic) which including a failed zone valve controller, a leaking radiator, and a chronic problem with air in the system causing a lot of noise. Michael Fisher came out and diagnosed the problems and gave me estimates for all the repairs and improvements (which were not cheap, but nothing is cheap these days). Michael replaced the failed zone valve controller right away which got my system working again. Changing out the radiator and replumbing in a new air separator and air tank was a bigger job and less urgent so we scheduled the rest of the work for a different day. Tyler Hickle came on the scheduled day and replaced/upgraded a bunch of the boiler plumbing, removed the old-style air tank, installed a Spirovent air separator (on the HOT side of the boiler where it should be) and new style air tank, and replaced the leaking radiator. My heating system now works much better, and a lot quieter. So far, I'm very happy with the work done by the guys from Mike's Custom Mechanical and would not hesitate to call them for future HVAC or plumbing work.
I initially reached out to Mike's for a repair estimate on my old radiator system that's been in my house for who-knows-how-long. I knew there were issues and had been putting it off for a number of years. The thoroughness of the estimate was the first thing that impressed me with this company: they gave me 4 options for how to deal with what needed to be fixed from the-bare-minimum-to-get-me-through-this-season to a full-on replacement of everything.
Ultimately, I decided to go all-in and replace the old boiler and water heater for a new single, on-demand, tankless system (with a water softener system).
I'll be honest: I had sticker shock when I learned how much the job would be. But I did some researching and also checked with some professionals I know, and everything reassured me that the pricing was honest and fair.
Their system sent me a text each morning that allowed me to click on a link to see when they were on their way and what time they would arrive! Super helpful for being able to plan my day! And the guys they sent out for the multi-day install were all friendly and professional. Upon arrival each morning, they told me what the plan was for that day and when they thought they'd be leaving. Again, helpful for making plans.
Once everything was complete, I got a full description and demonstration of the system, and all my questions were answered.
When I invariably had more questions, Heather, in the office, is super responsive and got me the answers I needed right away. She even checked in with me a couple times after the fact to make sure everything was good!
I couldn't be happier with the system Mike's installed! I have an efficient hot water system that's better for the environment and actually takes up so much less space in my basement!
Next time I need any sort of work done, I WILL be reaching out to Mike's again!

Contacted Mike's custom mechanical to come into our dealership and fix our a/c it had a leak and we needed ac to get recharged tech recommended that we replaced our old unit because according to him it was outdated and it was going be better more efficient blah blah blah, I trusted Mike's tech read the reviews and decided to replace the unit , long story short this guys have been nothing but bad news ac has been on and off for the last month we have been withouth ac for more than 24 hours at times, techs come in and go and make it work and ac stops working, seems like this guys dont know what they are doing, they even have cut a hole in the wall guessing what the issue is. Regret doing business with Mikes custom mechanical, the worst $12,000 invested, regret trusting this company will not ever do business with them and will not refer anyone to this company. As I'm typing this review we have been without ac since Monday morning today is Wednesday and BJ from mikes customs says problem will not be fix until Friday because Mike's techs forgot to install a "thermo expansion valve " at the time of installating the new unit.
Thomas showed up within the window of time I was told to expect him. After showing him where our furnace and outside unit was, he went right to work. After the installation was complete, he tested everything and verified that it was working properly. Thomas had a very positive attitude and always had a smile on his face. The overall experience was 5 star for us!
I worked with A few people from Mike’s Mechanical, and everyone made my experience amazing, but the 2 people that stuck out to me the most were Thomas and Jo. I needed to have both the AC unit and furnace replaced in a house that I just purchased. They were very accommodating in sending someone out for a quote. I had a few quotes done, but they were very good at walking you through the process of what you were looking for and what suited your home. Their price was very competitive, so I went with them.
They were able to do the install a couple days after the quote. It was originally supposed to take 2 days, but Thomas stayed later than scheduled and got the install done within the first day to make sure that they did not have to inconvenience me for another day. Even though he had already been there a while, he still took the time to show me how the new system worked and ran a test to show everything was functioning properly.
After the successful install, Jo was great to work with. She is extremely friendly and made sure that everything was still working well and made sure that I knew how to get a hold of them if I had any questions or needed any further assistance in the future. I would highly recommend working with this company if you ever need your furnace or AC replaced.

Tyler and Thomas did an excellent job installing my new central air and furnace. They were on time, professional and nice to have around all day. They went out of their way to make sure all was working and I got what I expected. If you want to support small, independent business these guys are a great choice.
Had Mike's unhook and re-hook our air conditioning as were having a concrete slab installed under the air conditioner. Everyone involved with Mike's was absolutely a joy to work with. Tyler did the work and everything went smoothly. I'll be doing work with them in the future.
Had them back this spring to tune-up the HVAC. Again, smooth as silk and this time was special as it was during the pandemic. They were good about maintaining distancing, etc. In weird times, it's good to know good people.
Year another visit for spring ac maintenance. Bailey was the service tech and did a great job... Which keeps Mike's record of great service intact.

Update to my review from last year. This week (5/22) we had Dan come out and give us a tuneup/check on our AC/Furnace. He found some issues with the furnace but the AC is just fine for the season. What was so so wonderful was that Dan carried down a 40 lb. bag of soft water pellets for me. Now who does that???? Also, Jason called the next day to check on what Dan had told us about the furnace and to see what we had planned on doing. I had a wonderful conversation with Jason and will continue to use Mike's Custom going forward for any and all plumbing issues. THANKS GUYS!!
8/21 This experience was a true 5 star. Ben came out and gave us an estimate and the next day we did the install of a new water heater. Tyler was on time and the whole install went smoothly and super quick. He explained everything we needed to know and help us out with a few other small water issues. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks.
